ISA 2012 Spring Photo Contest

Do you want to share your experiences studying abroad with others?

We are always looking for ISA and ELAP student photos to incorporate in our catalogs and other promotional materials and would love to feature some of yours! Photos considered will be those that are creative and highlight your unique experiences of studying and volunteering abroad with ISA and ELAP!!

For all categories, photos can include students, locals and/or friends in the pictures.

For the Spring 2012 photo contest, the categories are as follows:

* The Gang is all Here - organized group shots with 3 to 8 people

* I'm with ISA! - ISA activities and/or excursions, students holding the ISA logo, ISA office &
staff

* Culture, Customs and Traditions - fairs, ceremonies, holiday celebrations, local festivals, and other
cultural activities

* Live Like the Locals - everyday life, activities, foods, people and places unique to your city

* Nature's Beauty - landscapes, panoramic views and outdoor activities

* "When in Rome" shot - architecture, monuments, or places of interest

* The Artistic Eye-A chance to express your creative vision that may not fit in any of the other
categories (no Photoshop filters for this category, please)

NO PHOTOGRAPHS INCORPORATING ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES WILL BE CONSIDERED

Participation:

All entries must be sent to ISA via email photos@studiesabroad.com as an attachment! The maximum amount of photos that can be submitted per person is 3 photos per category. The following information must be included in the body of the email in order of the photo PER PHOTO:

1. Title of Photo
2. Name of ISA student photographer and your program--EMAPLE: Joey Smith (Madrid Spring 1)
3. City and country where photo was taken
4. Short description for each photograph

We will only be accepting high resolution JPEG files (2100 x 1500 pixels or higher)!

You must save your photograph to your computer with your first and last name as the filename. If there is more than one photo being submitted, please save the file as first name and last name and sequential number (EMAPLE. JoeySmith01, JoeySmith02). Again, make sure to add your photo AS AN ATTACHMENT.

Please send each set of photos per category in one e-mail and have the subject line be YOUR NAME and CATEGORY (EXAMPLE: Joey Smith GANG'S ALL HERE). This means you would send us seven e-mails if you are submitting photos for all categories.

If you still have troubles, you can upload all your photos to Picasa.com in ONE album and add the photo information as the CAPTION for each photo. Then, you will need to share your Picasa album with us at photos@studiesabroad.com. If you aren't sure how to do this, just send us an e-mail and we can help you out.

PRIZES:
(One) Grand prize winner: $150 Visa gift card and winning photo will be featured in the ISA catalog. Photo will also be framed in the ISA Austin Office.

(Seven) Category winners: $50 Visa gift card per category

All winners will also be announced on the ISA website after the selection date.
*All participants are only eligible to win one prize per contest*

DEADLINE: All photos must be submitted by June 30th, 2012, but you are encouraged to send them in early! The contest will be evaluated and winners selected by July 16th, 2012.

Disclaimer:

Photos for any ISA 2012 or ELAP 2012 program participants from that are studying/volunteering between January 1 - June 15 will be considered for the Spring 2012 Contest. Summer and year students are allowed to participate in either the Fall or Spring contest, but can't participate in both.
The contest will be evaluated and winners selected February 1, 2012. Please make sure to submit photos to photos@studiesabroad.com. By submitting your photos to the contest, you release all materials to be used by ISA and/or ELAP and its study abroad affiliates exclusively for promotional reasons. This includes, but is not limited to print, video and digital mediums. All photos will be credited to you when used. If photos are found to not have been taken by an ISA/ELAP student, photos will automatically be disqualified from the contest.

REMEMBER: If you have more photos you want to submit, but have already entered 21 photos into the contest, you are welcome to still send in other photos which will be considered for publication in ISA/ELAP promotional materials!
