Repeat Student Grant

Now that you're back, you may notice how much you have changed from your time abroad. You may have what's known as the "travel bug" and will look for any opportunity to continue building on your travel experiences. Many of our alumni feel their time with ISA was too short, and choose to study abroad again with ISA in another program location.

Currently, ISA has programs in several cities and countries throughout the world. Depending on the program selected, ISA and ELAP offer grants to students who have previously participated in an ISA or ELAP program, regardless of the length of time (if any) that passes between the two programs. Please note that students participating in an ISA Customized Program are not eligible for this scholarship.

$100 ISA SUMMER PROGRAM GRANT
Students who enroll in an ISA SUMMER program or an ELAP stand-alone program of 4 to 10 weeks in length after having participated previously in an ISA program of any length (not including intensive month programs) will receive a $100 grant towards the latter program.

$100 ELAP PROGRAM GRANT
Students who enroll in an ISA or ELAP stand-alone program after having participated previously in an ELAP stand-alone program of at least 4 weeks (not including ELAP Spring Break or Sevilla 12-week Internship programs) will receive a $100 grant towards the latter program.

$350 ISA SEMESTER/TRIMESTER/ACADEMIC YEAR PROGRAM GRANT
Students who participate in an ISA TRIMESTER, SEMESTER or ACADEMIC YEAR program or an ELAP stand-alone program of 12 to 16 weeks in length after having participated previously in an ISA program of any length (not including intensive month programs) get a $350 grant towards the latter program.

$200 SIBLING GRANT
Students will qualify for this $200 grant if they are the sibling of a former ISA, LPI or ELAP student, or if two siblings are simultaneously attending ISA or ELAP programs. If the trips are simultaneous, one participant would receive the grant.

Disclaimer: Students who participate in an ELAP Spring Break program or an ELAP 12-week internship program in Sevilla are not eligible for a repeat student grant. Students who choose to participate in ELAP during their ISA semester or trimester program or who participate in an ELAP Add-on program are not eligible for a repeat student grant.

Volunteer and Internships - Experiential Learning Abroad Programs (ELAP)

The Mission of the ELAP program is to provide volunteer opportunities to participants and to enhance each participant's understanding of community and social responsibility with our global society. ELAP programs can be added to an ISA study abroad program or pursued independently. ELAP programs range from 2 to 16 weeks in length.

ELAP placement opportunities include:

  • Social Work
  • Education
  • Ecology / Conservation
  • Health
  • Policy
  • Museums
  • Business / Marketing / Translation
